So I guess that Melarone, my anti-malaria pill, can give people weird dreams. It seems to have finally caught up with me because last night I had this funky dream where my tooth fell out. It was green, like a banana leaf, and I peeled the green part off and on the inside it was all soft, pulpy and fibrous, like some kind of fruit.
Today while I was getting my facial, I must have fallen asleep for a minute, because I swear I dreamt that I looked into the toilet and there was a white rabbit with red eyes stuck, botom first, in the toilet.
I love crazy dreams.

Teeth falling out or cracking or just getting lost is one of the most common dreams people can have. You probably know this but across cultures and through time it happens everywhere. And no one seems to have a clear explanation, but I think it's fascinating. I don't often have them (maybe twice in my life) but Phil has a few recurring versions of this dream that he says really bother him.
ReplyDeleteThe tooth dream used to bother me a lot, too. I realized later that, for me, it' just a fear of not being able to take care of myself (especially financially.) After I finally became financially solvent, I had a dream where I lost my teeth and I just said, "well, I'll go to the dentist and get them fixed!"
ReplyDeleteThe worse dream is when I'm chewing gum and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger in my mouth and it fills my entire mouth and I can't spit or even dig it out because it keeps growing. Now that's the one I can't handle!
